GIA — Governance Intelligence Agent¶
GIA is Trust3's AI governance agent. It works across inventory, policies, and workflows so you can get answers and take actions without navigating multiple screens.
GIA is available from the GIA button in the header on any page, and as the primary interface on the Overview dashboard.
What GIA can do¶
Answer governance questions¶
Ask questions in plain language against your live inventory and identity graph:
- "What needs attention now?"
- "Show high-risk AI assets"
- "Explain trust score drop"
- "What is missing and why does it matter?"
- "Which agents don't have owners?"
- "Show me all agents on Databricks"
GIA answers are grounded in your actual inventory. If an agent doesn't exist in your estate, GIA will say so.
Fill registration forms¶
When registering a new agent, describe the agent in one sentence in the GIA panel on the right side of the registration form. GIA fills the form with sensible defaults — platform, use case, business justification, and team. You review and adjust; GIA does the first draft.
Example: "A Copilot Studio agent that answers HR policy questions for employees" → GIA populates Step 1 fields.
You can ask GIA to try a different angle if the first fill doesn't match your intent.
Import policies from documents¶
From the Policies page, click + New Policy and choose "Import from document or URL". GIA reads the document and writes enforceable policy rules for human review before they are activated in your library.
This is the fastest path from a written compliance requirement to an enforced governance rule. See Policies for policy types and framework scope.
Explain violations and recommend remediation¶
Ask GIA why an agent's trust score is low and it will describe which policies are failing, what the violation means, and what the remediation steps are — in plain language, not policy rule syntax. See Trust Score for how scores relate to violations.
How sessions work¶
GIA maintains conversation context within a session so you can ask follow-up questions naturally:
- "Show me high-risk agents" → "Which of those are on Databricks?" → "Who owns them?" — each question builds on the last
- Session continues as you navigate between pages — go to Policies and come back and GIA remembers the context
- Session resets when you click New conversation, close the GIA drawer, or log out
While GIA is working on your answer, the drawer shows "GIA is working on your answer" with an animated indicator. For complex inventory queries this may take a few seconds.
Suggested questions¶
The GIA drawer shows four prompt chips to get started:
- What needs attention now?
- Show high-risk AI assets
- Explain trust score drop
- What is missing and why does it matter?
These work against your live inventory. You can also type any governance question directly.
Roles and access¶
GIA is available to Admin, Compliance, Legal, and Developer roles. Viewer role does not have GIA access.
